Bringing something in to a shop for repairs – whether it’s your car, your laptop or your Aunt Tessie’s turbocharged jet skis – can be a dicey proposition. “Will I get ripped off? Do they know what they’re doing? Are they going to try to con me into buying more than I need? Who invented liquid soap, and why?” (OK, that last one was John Cusack from “The Sure Thing,” 1985). And so on. Here’s the good news: Alpha & Omega Computer Sales & Service, led by its personable owner, John, are the real deal. It’s almost hard to believe, but down-to-earth, honest, knowledgeable professionals like John & his crew really do still exist in 2025 (or at least they do in Monmouth, Illinois). Alpha & Omega charged an extremely reasonable sum to resuscitate a dying computer and rescue the important data contained therein, and in a very expedient manner, too. It was a good day. Aunt Tessie whipped up a batch of her famous chocolate-covered bacon to celebrate.
